2. Services Offered

Sunny Paws Plus offers professional grooming services for dogs and cats, including but not limited to bathing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other related grooming services.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled by phone or in person at our location.Cancellations: Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

4. Payment Terms

Fees: Service fees are based on the type of service and the size and breed of your pet. Additional charges may apply for special handling, difficult pets, or extensive grooming needs.Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods as specified on our website or at our location.Payment Due: Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon.

5. Pet Health and Safety

Vaccinations: All pets must be up to date on vaccinations. Proof of vaccination may be required. Pets showing signs of contagious illnesses may be refused service to ensure the safety of other pets and staff health.

Conditions: Please inform us of any health conditions or special needs your pet may have. Sunny Paws Plus is not liable for any aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions that may occur as a result of the grooming process.Behavior: We reserve the right to refuse service to pets that exhibit aggressive or unsafe behavior. Owners must inform Sunny Paws Plus if their pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. An additional handling fee may apply for difficult pets.

6. Liability

Injury or Illness: While we take utmost care in handling your pet, Sunny Paws Plus is not responsible for any injury or illness that may occur during or after the grooming process. Grooming can be stressful for some pets, potentially leading to unforeseen reactions or conditions. Sunny Paws Plus is not responsible for exacerbating any pre-existing medical conditions, whether known or unknown.Stress-Related Issues: Grooming can be stressful for some pets, potentially leading to medical problems or behavioral changes, and Sunny Paws Plus is not liable for such occurrences.Damage to Property: Sunny Paws Plus is not responsible for any damage to personal items or property brought to our premises. Owners are advised to remove any personal belongings from their pets before grooming.

7. Emergency Situations

Veterinary Care: In the event of an emergency where immediate veterinary care is deemed necessary, Sunny Paws Plus will make every effort to contact the pet owner. If the owner cannot be reached, Sunny Paws Plus has the authority to seek emergency veterinary care for the pet. The owner is responsible for all associated costs.Medical Releases: By using our services, you consent to Sunny Paws Plus seeking emergency medical treatment for your pet in your absence.

8. Indemnification

Owner Responsibility: By bringing your pet to Sunny Paws Plus, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sunny Paws Plus and its employees from and against any and all liabilities, expenses, damages, and costs, including legal fees, resulting from any action or claim arising out of the grooming services provided, including but not limited to any injuries or illnesses sustained by your pet or any damage to personal property.

9. Photography and Media Release

Sunny Paws Plus may take photographs or videos of your pet during their visit. These images may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media, and other marketing materials. If you do not wish for your pet's image to be used, please notify us in writing.

10. Flea and Tick Policy

Pets found to have fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner's expense. This is to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our facility. An additional cleaning fee may be charged.

11. Missed Appointment Fees

If an appointment is missed without proper notice, a missed appointment fee may be applied to your account.

12. Service Satisfaction Guarantee

We strive for customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the service provided, please contact us within 24 hours so we can address your concerns and make any necessary adjustments.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of California.

14. Changes to Terms of Service

Sunny Paws Plus reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

16. Mat Removal Policy

Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats left in a pet’s coat only grow tighter and can strangle the pet’s skin, or eventually tear it open. Sunny Paws Plus does not wish to cause serious or undue stress to your pet and will not continually de-mat your pet. Mats can be very difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to warts, moles, or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin, allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. Torn skin from mats can also harbor maggots. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments. An additional charge for dematting will apply.

17. Aggressive or Dangerous Pets

Owners must inform Sunny Paws Plus if their pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. Sunny Paws Plus reserves the right to refuse or stop services for such pets at any time before or during the grooming process, and charge a handling fee for aggressive pets in addition to the regular grooming charge. If the pet should bite, the owner agrees to be responsible for any and all related medical bills, recovery costs, loss of income, and equipment damage.

18. Accidents

While every precaution is taken to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being, accidents can happen. Grooming equipment is sharp, and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of nails. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. If you arrive to pick up your pet and they are still being groomed, please do not talk to them or allow them to see you. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to work on. If you insist on talking to your pet, or the groomer, we reserve the right to end the grooming session, even if the groom is not completed, and the full grooming price will be charged.

19. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunny Paws Plus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your use or inability to use the services; (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of our services and/or any personal information stored therein; (iii) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our services.
